    [Debrand] A2 (Db3150) Tutorial

    First of all, i dont have any credit for this method. I was helped by several users ( Thanks ! ) and i decided to make a guide to help.

    This is an A2 Debrand Tutorial

    Software Required:
    - A2uploader ( google search )
    - Sony Ericsson Update Service ( Comes with the phone CD, or download on SonyEricsson website )
    - Notepad ( Comes with Windows ... )

    Note: On some Sony Ericsson Models, you have to press 2+5 instead of C.

    Recommended Step: (For Users with Phone Warranty)
    - You will need to identify your CDA to Debrand again your phone in case you need to take it to Warranty.
    - Turn Off your phone and remove the battery and put it again.
    - Connect the USB cable to the phone and Press C button.
    - Execute A2uploader on your computer, and press the identify button:

    - Then plug in your USB cable to the computer, and should appear a text like this:

    - Save that number on CDA-Article
    - Follow the next steps:

    Step 1:
    - You need to switch your phone CDA to a Generic CDA, this makes SEUS to update to the debranded firmware.
    - Create your new CDA from this website, dont forget to choose your phone model. ( for people who want to restore the phone "Recommended Step", in cda number on xml, copy the one you got from A2uploader )
    - Then you will get a code line like this (example):
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <customization>
    <info>
    <cda-number>1201-0077</cda-number>
    <language-variant-name>WESTERN-EUROPE</language-variant-name>
    <created-by>Jockep</created-by>
    <model>W910i</model>
    </info>
    </customization>

    - You only need this code (example):
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <customization>
    <info>
    <cda-number>1201-0077</cda-number>
    </info>
    </customization>

    - Open a new document on Notepad, and paste your code into. And then save the document as customize_upgrade.xml.

    Step 2:
    - Turn Off your phone and remove the battery and put it again.
    - Connect the USB cable to the phone and Press C button.
    - Execute A2uploader and press the FileSystemTool button:

    - Go to tpa/preset/custom directory and drag the customize_upgrade.xml to there (after copy, check if it is there):

    - Press Stop button on A2uploader, and Quit

    Step 3:
    - Turn on the phone, to (in other words) install the new CDA.
    - Turn off the phone

    Step 4:
    - Execute Sony Ericsson Update Service, and press Start button:

    - Choose your phone type and click continue: (In picture, im using SE W910i for example)

    - Choose your phone model and click continue: (In picture, im using SE W910i for example)

    - Follow the program instructions:

    - Then will appear your new firmware type, and u press continue: (In picture, im using SE W910i for example, western europe firmware)

    - It will pop-up a window for you to confirm, you have to press Yes twice:

    - Now you have to w8, for the process to finish:

    - Congrats ! You have debranded your Sony Ericsson, disconnect the USB cable from the phone, remove battery and put it again, and turn on the phone. Enjoy

    I hope this helped. Any doubts or error in the Tutorial, just reply in the post.
    Enjoy !!! :D

    Doesnt work on w595 just to let people know, and that site does not support every phone. So just change the cda section to what your is.This is supposed to be the one for my phone for customised uk. But SEUS says i already have the latest installed. Now everyone know orange firmware isnt going to be more uptodate then generic and im not even sure if that would actually make a difference.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <customization>
    - <info>
    <cda-number>1214-5668</cda-number>
    </info>
    </customization>

    Yeah i did, ive even tried two different cda's. Ill show you what i get.

    But if i restore the original cda (orange uk) then i can re-install my firmware even though it is the latest. But reinstalling orange firmware isnt going to get me anywhere

    I did, and i get the please wait with the loading bit. I can see the cda installs because when i put in a different cda. SEUS comes up the same way as shown in the picture. Where as if i use the orange uk one it lets me reinstall :@. Ive tried two cda's no luck with either.

    Re: [Debrand] A2 (Db3150) Tutorial

    Hi @ all :D

    I come from Germany, and I just packed out my brand new W595!

    I was so happy... until there was the ugly blue "o2" Branding....

    I searched a little and then found a solution. I have downloaded a2uploader, generated the customize_upgrade.xml and filled in a generic (?) CDA.
    Here's the customize_upgrade.xml:

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <customization>
    <info>
    <cda-number>1201-0077</cda-number>
    </info>
    </customization>
    Then pulled battery out and in again, started a2uploader, clicked on filesystem, hold C and connected with PC, and drag customize_upgrade.xml to tpa/preset/custom.

    Then I klicked on "Shutdown FS" then "STOP" then "QUIT".

    I powered on my handy (cell phone in english) wait a little bit and turned it off. Then started SonyEricssonUpdateService and followed the instructions.

    Enjoy :D
