    i used customize_upgrade.xml without the capital C. I dont think itl make a difference but ill give it a go. All i get is uptodate without the option to reinstall. And then when my orange cda is reset back it detects it tell me its orange firmware and lets me re-install :(

    is that exactly how ur xml looks ?
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <customization>
    - <info>
    <cda-number>1214-5668</cda-number>
    </info>
    </customization>

    Sorry, the two "-" shouldn't be there.
    This is copied from my "Customize_upgrade.xml" file and I used "Preview Post" on the website this time to make sure it looks correct:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <customization>
    <info>
    <cda-number>1214-5668</cda-number>
    </info>
    </customization>

    My initial attempt at this didn't work, SEUS just recognised my Vodafone VF shiteware.
    SEUS only recognised W595 Western European 1214-5668 after I capitalised the "C" in "Customize_upgrade.xml" AND switched the phone on and off after a2uploading "Customize_upgrade.xml". (As per the tutorial I also took the battery out and put it back in again before using a2uploader, SEUS asks for this too). I suppose it could have been any of these things that made it work but I did read on another website about the filename being case sensitive.

    I have noticed however that the debranded phone (using 1214-5668) doesn't seem to use the menu part of a theme, you always have the same menu icons regardless of the theme that is loaded ? The "Entertainment" icon is a folder with pencils sticking out and not a gamepad which is a bit kak but nevermind.

    Hope this helps.

    The website doesn't support generating CDA for C905.
    Any other ways?

    Re: [Debrand] A2 (Db3150) Tutorial

    I think the phrase "Create your new CDA from this website" from Step1. is a bit ambiguous. You only need to create a file called "customize_upgrade.xml" :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <customization>
    <info>
    <cda-number>XXXX-XXXX</cda-number>
    </info>
    </customization>
    and choose as cda number a generic cda for your language(from this website), then upload it to your phone, via "A2uploader"

    Edit:

    For all NORIC users!

    C905_1209-4769_R6A_GENERIC_NORDIC

    Use the 1209-4769 CDA number to activate the Reflashing alternative in SEUS :)

    Re: [Debrand] A2 (Db3150) Tutorial

    hi guys,

    i tried the website but i couldn't generate any CDA for my W890i. so i jus made the file with a \cda number in it. however, \seus says there is no update available and software is up to date. can anyone help?
    Thanks

    another information is that my previous CDA is 1210-1176 and i've used this in the customized_upgrade.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <customization>
    <info>
    <cda-number>1204-9990</cda-number>
    </info>
    </customization>

    then i did everything according to the tutorial and also SEUS instruction. the phone managed to update the CDA and its now 1204-9990 but SEUS says there is no update available.
    pls help

    Regards
