Exclamation W580 Upper key pad replacement.

Are there any tutorials on how to replace the upper keypad membrane for a Sony Ericsson W580? because I'm ordering parts from a website, and they don't include replacement instructions.

Edit. i actually mean the Upper key pad itself not the membrane

    Thanks to Rob Lee

    1) Remove the front cover cover by lifting it away from the rest of the housing with a little force, starting where the arrow indicates, then run your fingernail along the edge of the housing to unclip it

    2) Your phone should now be in two parts, as below

I actually meant the top button sensors (like the back button and music player buttons) not the membrane sry.

    3) Lift the LCD from right to left, as shown below

    4) The LCD is held to the phone by a ribbon which attaches like a plug and socket. Simply unclip this and you have removed the LCD. Reverse the procedure for reassembly

Unclip the keypad flex ribbon away from the old board.

Be careful to keep the buttons.epaker etc to oneside as they tend to run off!!

You can see your part in situ on image 4. You should be able to replace from there on in.

    Good Luck
