Ok i think i am geting somewhere. Senter the link you gave me helped me obtain a copy of jdflasher that actually seemed to work and i am now able to go into the oflash directory.
I still am totally confused however as to exactly what steps i should take, what files i need and how to go about unlocking my phone. I dont want to go hap-hazardly applying files that could kill my phone.

Patching CID53 (DB2020)&DB2010,2012 but truthly it doesn't actually make much sense. Is there a definitive tutorial i should be following as i am unable to find one???
