Flashing error can you explain? - 06-25-2009

Hi
I have followed all the tutorials and have my phone details as

18:01:01| Profiling SEMC phone...
18:01:01| Platform: DB2020
18:01:01| OTP CID: 51
18:01:01| EROM CID: 53
18:01:01| EROM Color: Red
18:01:01| IMEI: 35852401xxxxxx
18:01:01| Phone ID: K770
18:01:01| Region: HUTCH_1
18:01:01| CDA: 1202-4418 R7A
18:01:01| Firmware Version: R8AB001
18:01:01| EROM: R3A022
18:01:01| Ready for operation!
18:16:22| Sorry, your phone is NOT SUPPORTED
18:16:22| Error: Cannot send flash loader
18:16:22| Error: Flashing failed
18:16:24| Disconnected... Unplug the phone

However when I use XS++ I get a flash error. Can anyone advise why my phone is not supported and point me to the best way to flash it. I have both the MAIN firmware and File System language pack (Europe1 - I want english).

Steve

you have CID53 phone, xs and setool2lite does not support CID53phone.
Read Here : Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers) - Top Sony Forums but use files only for your phone with CID53 firmware

I have done this but am getting an error message

I followed the step-by-step but substituted the K800 files for K770 ones.

K770_R8BC004_MAIN_GENERIC_VI_RED53.mbn
K770_R8BC004_FS_EUROPE_1_RED53.fbn

I opened the FAR program ran the first installs above which threw no errors up. I then discounted and added my custom pack:

K770i_1202-4418_R7A_3_United_Kingdom

I have installed this. I didn't complete the last step though the "Lighting options" as nothing was inclueded.

When I boot the phone up now it says "configuration error. Please contact your network operator or service centre.

Please help

4 the configuration error u need another cuspack...the cuspack has to match the FS region(urs is europe1)...and you can use cuspacks from oter phnes aswell as lng as they match the FS region

download file .then connect your phone to far and go to the "ofs" and then go to the "tpa\preset\custom" and extract all files in to custom
Attached Files
File Type: rar custom.rar (12.4 KB, 5 views)

Do you mean I should extract them before I connect my phone then right click on the un-extracted files when on FAR?

Or do you mean I should leave them all in the rar file and copy them from that?

Sorry to be a pain currently I have been downloading and extracting.

Right I download the file above. Extracted it to a folder called "custom" I have the my phone to FAR and clicked on "OFS". I have then gone into the custom folder I have just downloaded and then right clicked on all of the files inside and then hit F5 and confirmed copy.
Finally I disconected the phone and turned on the phone still getting configuration error message. Have I broken this for good?

well, you didn't make the copy procedure correctly, copy all the files inside custom to OFS/tpa/preset/custom. select the file one by and press F5 to copy, repeat the sa=me procedure untill all the files were copied.
