Please help me:

When I start to flash I follow all the steps given to me:
I switch off my phone, run far, run the plugin, and select
DCU-60, the speed at the bottom it think it's 921something-something,
and my script, the w810's, w300_w810_w550_CID49 and click Enter the matrix.

Firstly: As I begin to flash, as soon as I insert the cable holding c, it does detect the phone nicely and everything.

The big grey screen goes away, and there are two directories: Flash and FS.
When I enter FS, a screen, mch like the previous one comes up, and says:

Sending in break_in loader etc etc.
Then it 'sends one byte of one byte', then proceeds to send another 5 bytes,
but never gets to. At this point the program freezes, despite several efforts, (pressing ESC, ENTER etc.), and as soon as this point is reached (sending 1 of 5 bytes), the phone switches on, and windows auto plays my phone, and the phone goes into File Transfer mode.

Being a slightly experienced user, I can make a few educated statements:

I think that the fact that windows auto plays and detects the phone is why the far manager is presumably locked out. My assumption is that if I can stop windows from autoplaying, or even detcting the phone, Far would work. In fact, I believe the reason the phone is switched off, and the 'c' key held down in the first place is to prevent this. Working with this theory, I attempted to stop windows from autoplaying the phone, by (1)continuing to hold down 'c' even after the first screen goes away, and I enter FS, and the second screen comes up. (2) By reinserting the cable holding the 'c' key when entering FS folder, hoping that this would prevent the phone from being sensed, (3)Shutting down explorer.exe when flashing the phone, and many more futile attempts.

Seeing as I have given a full analysis of the problem, with my own tried methods, I hope that someone can help me.

Also, I tried to flash the phone on my other computer too. Same problem. So I'ts not just a matter of 'Reinstall' and magically everything will work. Apart from that, my phone is WHITE, not black.

Also, I've read about the PHoneXS yesterday, and that's how I came to find this forum (Thank God), as I am hoping this alternative method will work. However I am hesitant to try it, as it seems to be more err...you know...in-depth, and risky to the phone. The far just plugs in and get into the system. This XS++ thing seems to need a copy of the software and all kinds of thing in order to get in.

Need help soon. Willing to give reward to person whose advice helps me.

You probably have a W810 with CID49 protection. Check the FAQ section how to find out what CID your phone got. FAR can only copy files onto the phone when you remove the protection by giving a phone a new (fake) MAIN. This can be done with PhoneXS or XS++ v1.5 only.

Customizing is like intializing the FS. Basically it's only copying some customization files to a certain place in the file system (tpa/preset/custom). You can do this in two ways:

1. with XS++ by putting a check at Customize file system (note that this involves bruteforce!), or
2. by manually upload the customization files using the FAR + SEFP method. See below for detailed instructions on how to unbrand.

This tutorial explains step-by-step how to use FAR + SEFP to edit the files in your phone's file system. So now you know the context.

1. Premeasures:install USB Flash drivers (by installing SEUS for example)
2. install FAR-manager 1.70 here
3. extract the SEFP plugin (first SEFP v01004, then SEFP v010051 over it) to the plugin folder (C:\Program Files\Far\Plugins normally)
4. Extract den_po's CID49 pack db2010cid49_4_alpha.rar.zip to FAR\plugins
5. Get XS++ and a proper MAIN firmware(use same version as your FS !), download here:

6. Remove your SIM-card and memorystick, just in case..

Flash break-in loader:
7. Open XS++, connect, ONLY flash your MAIN with w810_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw (located in CID49 package).

This is a break loader. If you flash this into your phone, your phone cannot be turned on anymore because it's not a real firmware, but only a workaround intended to access the filesystem without bruteforce (using den_po's CID49 pack for the SEFP plugin for FAR-manager). It's only 5 flash blocks, should not take more than 30secs. Just choose STOP if it hangs on 100%.
8. Remove your battery for 5secs and after that put it back in.

Customizing with FAR+SEFP:
9. Open FARmanager, and press F11
10. Choose SEFP plugin
1. If you get the error: "Unknown exception", Exception address: 0x7C812A5B...... The plugin will be Unloaded!
This is a bug. It's because you don't have any COM-ports, so create a fake COM-port connection. I did it with my BT Dongle. Alternatively, here is a mini howto create a fake COM-port by Cold & Flu Relief.
2. if you get the error: "<BIldr> can be used with Service Cable ONLY".... browse to the SEFP folder and patch sefp.dll with sefp0.10.0.51patch.exe.
3. if you still get any errors, and just want a working phone back, skip this part and proceed at step 16.
11. Opening SEFP:


choose Bootscript: w300_w810_z550_cid49 and press Enter The Matrix.
After a while you'll be in the w810i, if not, try again, check settings above.
12. Choose /FS/, now you'll can customize everything you want; camdriver/ audiodriver/ etc.

13. When done, Go back to root (choose '..' all the time) until FAR asks to exit CSFS loader, choose yes.
14. Exit FAR-manager
15. Disconnect cable and remove your battery for 5secs.

Flash real MAIN:
16. Now go back to XS++ and connect your w810i.
17. Now only flash your real MAIN file (i.e. W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.mbn, 344 flash blocks).
Don't check Customize File System! This will only take about 2 minutes.

If all went right, you're done, you have customized your w810i WITHOUT bruteforce!

I got the final bits of info you didn't mention here from a friend via the phone, whose number I opnly just got. Sorry I couldn't reply again yesterday like i said.

My ISP gives trouble. This is a ood time to ask: Will MSN or any other big ISP be coming to Trinidad and Tobago anytime soon? Cos If they do, the'll have a FULL market. Our local ISP, TSTT cheats us...like hell. As soon as ant big company comes down, they could gain an entire market with no work wahtsoever. BECAUSE WE aRE FED UP. Do you believe that about 85 % of the citizens are still paying $300 TT (1US$ = 6TT$) for a 50HR dial up package? (That doesn't connect most of the time, for example yesterday, when i couldn't connect at all), and when eventually it connects, you get like...about 45.2 Kbps.

This is DISGUSTING.

Simple fix, actually. All you had to do was flash a fake main (the one with .ssw extension) onto your phone. Then, the phone cannot turn on no matter what. That fixes the problem with the phone turning on. Then when you are done, just reflash your REAL main. Oh, and XS++ isn't really that risky, just time consuming. If you know what you're doing, it's not really that hard. And if you're new to XS++, just use FSX. It's completely safe, as long as you don't unplug the phone while it's bruteforcing or copy some crap file to your phone.
