question on icons

i just debranded and unlocked my phone succesfully thanks to this wonderful and amazing site.
just a question regarding icons. if i alter my icons, can i go back to the original ones? and how?
do i need to back it up? and how?

depending on what phone model you have best way would be to use the sysgfx patch.
