w810i firmware version and 4Gb MS-DUO

So, all firmware of the w810i phone support a 4Gb memory card or only the latest one supports it?
I have a w810i R4EA031.. so my question is:
R4EA031 firmware support 4Gb or is it necessary upgrade the main firmware?
(this is important if you have an unlocked phone)

How much I know, if your phone supports 4 GB MS-Duo , then all version of firmware supports this card.
