how can i Extract FS, Main from RAW file?

Hi, can anyone tell me how to extract the FS, and Main from a RAW file which contains a total firmware dump of my red36 k750. I made this dump using far and this tut:

Firmware's complete Backup ( erom main fs gdfs )This option is very interesting, you can accomplish one of his firmware's complete backup, with all the configurations, settings of Internet, contacts, patches been applicable, CDA, personalizations in general, if some problem occurs, you won't need to install everything again, almost to use backup's file and finished. It won't be necessary neither same to copy the certificates, because the backup includes everything, EROM+MAIN+FS+GDFS.This file only just will work in the original phone, will not work in no other phone.
In order that the file be valid, the address of reading of Start and Lenght of the file has to be the correct for each model of phone. The file generated has 32 MB'S size approximated, and it will be saved within the program's directory FAR, with a name similar to this: 35682800888888_44000000_021000000.raw
Address of Start and Lenght of full firmware's file:
W800 - K750 - W550
Full Firmware - 44000000 - 02000000
k700 - K700 - S700
Full Firmware - 44000000 - 02000000

Start FarManager, execute the command ( Alt + la tecla F1 / Alt + la tecla F2 ) - a new window Will Appear, press SEFP.


Select the cable, velocity, and the model of the phone, press "Enter The Matrix".


Press "FLASH."


Loader uploading apears:


Select "memory". In order to select click with the right press button of the mouse on the file. Press Copy or the direct key F5.


Indicate the address of Start and Lenght Full Firmware:
w800 - Full Firmware - 44000000 - 02000000
k750 - Full Firmware - 44000000 - 02000000
k700 - Full Firmware - 44000000 - 02000000
s700 - Full Firmware - 44000000 - 02000000
Press "Read".


The file's window of progress will appear, wait the readout of full firmware's file.


Wait the message, and "Press Close".

as far as i know, only can extract FS and MAIN to RAW......
not RAW to FS and MAIN !!!!!

You are wrong, raw FS files is possible to extract with SEFStool4

@Pichu that sounds just the thing. I've found a copy but reading around it seems k750 isn't supported....LOL

Well to start I am still pretty 'nooby' concerning flashing & such, so excuse me if I make a stupid remark, but;

When I used far to explore my fone, I could browse all files an thus copy them to my harddisk.
Wouldn 't this be the simple sollution to your question?

I mean; use far to make a copy (backup) form all your files on the phone? No need to convert raw to something else in that case...

( Or am I completely missing something here? :confused: )

that's a fair question, but im looking to extract other files like Pichu said as well as the original FS which came with my phone.. as I've quite a few mods and didn't make backups (whose the noob) as i thought the total dump would be ok to get things from.

Not all FS files are supported.

I extracted FS from W800 / k750 / D750 / W810 yet.

sefstool4 runs through about half complete and I get a program error and it shuts down. This is really frustrating. Tried both the w550 fs and w600 no luck

when i try to extract from the raw file extracted with maintool and use sefs4tool i get an error what am I doing wrong?
Try to rename file system file to, lets say k750.fbn or k750.bin... I think it`s a program bug, and when i do that, all works.. Regards

kevinat, it easy:

1 - Get main2raw.exe & SEFSTool4.exe
2 - Extract the raw with main2war.exe firmaware.fbn This will generate a raw file.
3 - Extract the files with SEFSTool4.exe firmware.raw
4 - Ta-da!

I did the same thing, made the 32MB dump starting from address 44000000 from my K508i
I think the files (EROM, MAIN, FS, GDFS) can be extracted through a hex editor or something, it's just that the addresses and sizes are needed.
So, could someone please tell me which are these addresses for the SE K508i phone? Maybe they're the same as for the K500, but I don't know those, too...

have you tried FAR Manager with the SEFP plugin? You can browse, add/remove the files on the phone with it. It's simpler that way.
