If your OTP CID is 49, it may be possible to downgrade. Try to flash it with CID49 EROM.
PS: OTP stands for one time programming and it can not be changed. SEUS has changed your EROM CID to 52. So I guess flashing with CID49 EROM will help to have OTP CID = EROM CID = 49.

Because the CID cannot be lowered, no erom modifications can do this...
I sugest everyone not to use SEUS... Its a problem...

i kinda work on the principle, if a CID can be raised, then why cant it be lowered. its not like we're changing the hardware eh? think there are many better minds than mine who know a lot more about this.....

Can't be downgrade because the loader was changed to not take a lower CID and no tool can change that

so, how to explain that, then my V600 flashed from cid36 to 49, and after that when i flash it back to 36 using davinci client it still working fine ?
it was quite time ago.
i ask few pepole and they sey that i can downgrade erom cid to OTP cid, (eg. erom 51 to otp 49) but lower than OTP is impossible so ?

so let me understand, for eg. if your OTP CID is 49 and your EROM CID is 52, you can downgrade your EROM CID to 49 without any problem? Where did you read that, I want to look into it, I need some more info about this.

few hours ago i ask my frend, he told me then he yesterday downgrade K800 cid 51 (as i remember, posible it was 52) back to cid49 using cruiser and credit for it. he just flash main and fs, (finalize of coz too) ewerything work fine and without problems.
he told me also, then somtimes downgrade cid is imposible, because some new firmware have "sumprises" and back cid to OTP number can damage mobile.
he say also then downgrade cid is normal operation, and he doing that from time to time.
in few days i will ask other my frend about that problem.
so i was able to downgrade, my frend too
how to explain that ?

U have cruiser maybe thats why ;) I have CID52 too and i cannot downgrade it with dcu-60 ;((
but first time i use only davinci client on my own mobile :o
i think it`s realy possible to do.
maybe not for free, but cost is aceptable, specialy if someone want to mod his firmware ;)

CID is not possible to be changed because it is programmed in the EEPROM of your phone and it is meant for the users not to mod their fones. Because they were leaks in the 1st batch of units as it it possible and easy to mod them out. Like newer models of K750i and W800i have CID49 in them. Lucky me I got 1 with a CID36 and Farmanager enters witout sweat...

since you upgraded your phone with cid 52 you can't back it up.it is like windows, the new version can do anithing the old varsion can do but the old version can't do what new version can. This is what i read.

but my friend wrote cid49 farfirm files to my cid51 w710i yestoday.
your phone has - OTP CID and EROM CID.
EROM CID you can upgrade for example from 49>52.
but OTP CID will stay at 49 only EROM CID is changing.
then you can with service cable rollback your cid to OTP VERSION.

Hey man! Why do you try to make life difficult for you?
Just download the CID52 MAIN, FS and CDA, flash it to the phone with SETool2Lite, and then try to check for updates on SEUS.
The problem for you comes only if you phone was unlocked and by updating on SEUS becomes locked again.
If it was't properly unlocked, try to do it with professional tools and after that flash a CID52 GENERIC Firmware+FS+CDA, and finally you can update from SEUS whenever you want.
I have a CID52 K800i bought from Orange (branded), and after i backed-up the original Orange software i uploaded the following files:
- K800_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52
- K800_R1KG001_FS_MEDITERR_RED52
- HB1_06_Gen_CDA102568_4_R6A_GENERIC_MEDITERR
It works fine and i can update from SEUS anytime without problems.
PS: I don't mind for the moment that the phone is not SIM Free
Be well!

Go for CID52. The reason for this is this: if you want to use the latest firmware updates from SEUS the CID will be changed for sure in CID52 because currently in the latest protection system.
Note: the CID no. will always go up because this is what updates are for.

CID 49 to 36 was possible but with the higher security such as CID50/51/52 its not possible to downgrade, Sony ericsson uses this so people like us cant mess with our handsets.

A bit of searching and I found this thread
Can I downgrade?
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
On the third post it says:
If your OTP CID is 49, it may be possible to downgrade. Try to flash it with CID49 EROM.
PS: OTP stands for one time programming and it can not be changed. SEUS has changed your EROM CID to 52. So I guess flashing with CID49 EROM will help to have OTP CID = EROM CID = 49.
And my phone's
OTP CID: 49
EROM CID: 52
So that means I can downgrade?

Cross CID ( apply a flash with a CID different of the CID phone ) flashes can be maded with SETool FULL, but at end the phone preserve his original CID...

If you will find EROM CID 49 signed for DB2020, then yes ! :)
But this EROM is not exist ! :(
Are you shure??? if i remember, CID EROM on DB2020 phones can not be downgraded right?? :(

yup..i don't think CID can be lowered..if u try changing erom an stuff.. u mite end up bricking ur phone..
i think that the erom cid can be downgraded back to the version of otp cid. but only with service cable and software. /maybe only with hw box/
About the people saying they did it with DaVinciTeam... If you flash a CID 51/52 FW on a CID 49 phone with 3rd party tools (meaning anything but SEUS), the EROM doesn't get flashed. So, if both EROM and OTP are CID49 then it is possible to flash CID49 FW (atleast, that's how it was several months agp).
If I'm wrong, please do correct me.
As for today, there's not much point in lowering the CID because you can do almost anything with XS++ 3,0 an SETool Lite.
So, if you're planning to change the CID back to 49 (altough I don't recommend it), good luck, and do report back ;).

you cannot lower a cid on an otp>49 only cid49 otp/cid50/51/52 erom cids can be lowered back to 49 but to do this you need EMMA access and seus2 professional meaning you got to work for sonyE or have acces to theyr service... so imposible...
or you can try cross flashing a erom cid 49 with cid 50/51/52 firmware like i did on my k310 when i turned to w200 erom cid remained 49 and flash cid changed to 52 so i can use it with far+sefp w/r setool2lite and other free flashers as k310 try on other models on your own risk k310@w200 tested method... the rest i dont know

Hello, I am new here. Just curious, what does changing the CID do?
Norby C.

well, when your phone had CID 49, YOU NEED TO FLASH IT BACK TO CID 49, if you want your phone to work again, you need to return it to his initial stage. Download it from the DOWNLOAD AREA.

it Can't be down graded thats pretty risky....
it can be downgradet just to OTP cid, so if you have otp cid 49 it is possible...and it is possible downgrading by BOX
