Nah, SEUS downloads the whole firmware image BEFORE it flashes, so prettymuch the only way to brick it is to disconnect during flash :p

seus is useless manytimes, it flashes only some parts of firmware and makes the phone dead and sometimes it already says we have latest version even though we dont have

well, i've got a question....i've got a w810i and i wonder if i get the firmware from w850i and put it in my phone, would it work?or not?what are the risks?would it be a brick?would it not respond the commands?

i think you could have problems, coz w810 has different hardware from w850 (screen size for example) i think it is only safe if you have almost same hardware specifications

SEUS have more bug,it cant upgrade the phone with problem,i test it on W810 phone,i flash main fram to old phone too it show your phone is upgrade

Yes is cool to upgrade your phone via SEUS, but make sure that the firmware is supported by XS++ or Far manager... in case that you intend to upload flash menus in the future.
Why??? I give you an example:
I had an W710i CID49, and upgrade it with SEUS... and now I have the same phone with CID52 :(
The problem is that CID52 is not supported by XS++ or other flashing program...
So I can't upload flash menu's anymore :(:(
Now I'm waiting for new versions on XS++ with support for CID52

Still think it's silly that you can't change the phone language if it is also called a re-installer of your firmware. Only this function isn't in the program..

u can use SESU with Vista by setting its compability to Windows XP (SP2) or Windows 2000....it worked for me....but its not officialy supported until later in the year or so

You are all right ... but you omited a lil important thing... SEUS may upgrade your CID(example i have a k310 and i made my last flash with seus...i had R4EC031 and seus changed it to R3EC001)anyway my phone was CID49 red and after flash with seus it was CID 51 :( ... P.S. procedure reversible... seus only changes the GDFS CID(OTP CID remains the same) so it is possible to get back to old CID...

SEUS says I need a DSS-25 to connect my K700i, unfortunately I dont have one, but I do have a Total multiserver cable usb with PS2 connector for the T28 phone connector. I found that SEUS doesn't find my phone when using the TMS cable, and I was wondering if u guys know of any workaround, maybe a mod say ps2 female to usb. Does anyone know how pinouts etc work on DSS-25 ??

It'd probably be less of a pain to just buy a DSS-25 cable than to start modding your TMS one.

i managed to update my w850i to R1KG001 but there still the after movie sleep mode clock bug. :(
btw the firmware download speed is acceptable, as long as u hv a stable connection.

Tried this idea, but SE Updater complained that my Flash 9.0 was incompatible. Anyone else have this problem (running XP-SP2, W810i)

Great discovery you have done!!!But since I was able to do that a couple of years ago with a slow connection here in my country with out 3G but with only component on the phone was GPRS.Well I would tell you something bro and you would get that in your mind fast ok nobody would do such an update if it's just took him to wait for hours there and nobody would do such an update if it's not for free Wi-Fi and e.t.c. stuff.:o

i had my phone flashed thru SEUS back then.after the flashing, I couldn't access some of the folders on my phone...folders like GAMES and APPLICATIONS.

so better be sure to have a good internet connection before doing the software update to SEUS...lol :cool:

That means we shouldn't use SEUD, right? Because it doesn't give you the newest. And who care about warranty anyway :D

My friends phone ( K850i ) get`s recognized by SEUS. You should tried to reinstall it.

You can also update directly from most phones if you have a good WAP/Data plan. It's basically an integrated SEUS.

If you want it to update change the CDA version and SEUS will detect it needs updating. Hope this helps.

For those who want to mod their phone, stay away from SEUS, it will update your phone to newer CID. And for those who have originally locked phone, it may lock your phone again. I managed to relocked my friend's W800, thanks to SEUS.

As stated above SE have introduced a cid update. This updates the CID to CID53 which CANT be hacked, modded or patch unlocked.

No my K810i`s software updater always says it is up to date. but mine is one year old phone . And my colleagues are purchasing new K810is with latest software so , sony ericsson website is waste for updates. Mine is R6 and the new one is showing as R8.:mad:
