i heard that this patch along with other ported patches for k750, w800 does not work for there are reports saying it only disables the beep on the patched phone and not on the receiving callers end (they can still hear beep notifications). is this patch confirmed?

You won't hear the beeps on recorded data/playback... but only when the recording takes place. Try calling someone and the moment you establish connection, Press "menu" and scroll to "record" and start recording the telephone conversation. You will hear consequtive beeps every 20 seconds and the other party will also hear the same thing. (to ensure that they are aware that the conversation is being recorded by your phone)

To what I've read and understood, the beep sound file is embedded into the firmware and the patch mentioned above only removes the sound on the recording phone but still continues to beep on the other party being called.

Yes i does. I almost never record calls but would probably do it more often if it wasn't for the beep. If someone know if it works please tell me.

I investigated about..
The beep is related to main firmare so it would be impossible to remove the 20sec, beep, furthermore this beep is not between the original phone sound so it would be impossible to delete.
The only way to record a phone call without the "beep monitor" would be to use a Java application written for this purpose.

I dont think our phone's java platforms would support such a java application, there's no api to support access to the phone's calling feature "hense there's no proper VOIP applications", but i think the new jp-8 has such an api ;) i know jp-8 has SMSapi so some of the newer models will soon be able to send encrypted/decrypted sms, i think it also has the calling api (not sure though), but our k750/w810 are jp-5 and support no such api's :(

I think you don't need patch to remove the video recorder sound. It is a 3gp sound file stored in the FS firmware which can be removed if you have access to your phone FS by deleting it or replacing it with an empty sound with the same name and format.

1. Select phone model - W610.
2. Click Identify
3. Mark Bypass DB2020 security
4. Add Main ( W610_R6BC002_MAIN_GENERIC_NA_RED52.mbn )
5. On MISC files add Quick Access patch.vkp
6. Click Flash hold "C" and plug USB cable.

After 3 - 4 min. Setool say to unplug cable, reinsert battery and click READY then again hold "C" and plug USB cable.

Then click NO to apply patch and wait ~ 20 min.

After all you have Quick Access patch and can apply patch remove beeprecorder.vkp
