i was just wondering if it is possible to use the camera in my mobile phone, W850i, as a webcam. i have seen this for symbian phones. and i also found this software that takes a picture in a regular interval when ur phone is connected to the PC via USB. but its not really like a webcam..

so is there any java software?

thanks

SEWebcam is little bit confused program to use. First you must know USB port, that is easy, but to set FTP is problem. This program is not for everyone, because it's not simple to use. I have k750i and there is a message: "Error in connection." USB port is ok, but FTP configuration is not.

I don't think you can stream video from the phone, but you can stream pictures, so the program takes pictures continuously... Annoying if your shutter noise is always on.

SEWebCam isn't supported with W850i (I tried... maybe I don't know how use it ?). The newest phones supported are: K750i/D750i/W800i/W810i ...

Mobiola Web Camera (With Bluetooth support) Platforms: Java

I've tried this but could never get it working. The direct link to the product page is :

The problem I had with this is that even after installing their driver the Bluetooth port was never recognized automatically. Even after selecting the port manually nothing worked.

Did anyone have any luck with this particular product?
